Texas Pain Advocacy and Information Network

The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service.  With more than two million volunteers nationwide, the American Cancer Society is one of the oldest and largest voluntary health agencies in the United States. 

The Texas Pain Advocacy and Information Network (TxPAIN), the Texas member of the Alliance of State Pain Initiatives, is an active coalition of organizations and individuals dedicated to:

  1. Assuring that Texans receive state of the art pain treatment, and do not suffer needless pain
  2. Educating and empowering Texans about their right to quality pain management
  3. Providing advocacy on pain related issues for the citizens of Texas; and,
  4. Encouraging and assisting health care professionals to provide optimum pain control for their patients, regardless of the cause of pain.
